I'm glad that the site is being used as a bridge for artists and art lovers and art galleries. But... it saddens me when it is used for the worst aspect of the internet: scammers.
It has been brought to my attention that some artists have been contacted by someone claiming to be from the Netherlands and interested in one of the pieces by the artist. The deal this person presents is buying a piece and sending more money than the purchase price then asking the artist sends money back. This is a typical scam.
So, artists, please be careful, and if the deal sounds strange, please stop and use caution. Do not hesitate bringing anything strange to my attention and/or asking me what I think.
Also, the more I know the better I can advise and warn others. As far as the scammer, I am going to investigate and maybe take action to stop or at least discourage them. But, at this time, I don't think much can be done.

We are almost ready for the beta group of testers to take this site out for a spin. Nancy and I (Mark) have been testing the site for almost a month now and have worked out most of the bugs.
